From childhood experiences as part of a travelling family theatre company to Bollywood icon status, Asha Bhosle has been captivating audiences around the world for over seven decades. Asha’s own culinary journey and personal collection of much-loved recipes, garnered from roadside eateries to royal kitchens, underpins the menu of North-West Indian-inspired dishes. Tradition meets innovation to celebrate India’s rich culinary heritage with an authentic sharing selection of classic flavours, contemporary interpretations and her own family favourites.

The enduring appeal of signature dishes such as a velvety daal makhani, aromatic murgh malai kebabs and spicy Keralan chilli garlic prawns sit alongside exclusive creations including the Oman travels-inspired Muscat gosht, a fragrant boatman prawn curry and indulgent saffron-infused lamb kesar biryani. A bespoke beverage menu complements the dining experience with intriguing concoctions created by our international mixologist, and featuring distinctive Indian ingredients including cardamom, clove, rose jam, Assam and Darjeeling tea and jaggery.

A musical legend and global record-breaking artist, Asha Bhosle has collaborated with the world’s entertainment greats from Shujaat Khan and Simply Red to Michael Stipe and Boy George. Her reputation as a culinary innovator regularly attracts international celebrities in search of authentic Indian food to Asha’s locations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Birmingham and Manchester. Stars of the big screen and television rub shoulders with Michelin-starred chefs, singers and giants of the cricket world in a contemporary-styled setting where the award-winning cuisine and invitingly opulent interiors are as vibrant as the guests.

One of the most influential actors in Bollywood history, Amitabh Bachchan has appeared in almost 200 Hindi films during his five decade-long career. Often affectionately referred to as ‘Big B’ or the ‘Shahenshah of Bollywood’, he first hit the big screen in the early 1970s, appearing in movies such as Zanjeer and Deewaar, through to a role in the 2013 Hollywood film, The Great Gatsby. Winner of four Best Actor National Film Awards, 15 Filmfare awards, and recipient of numerous international accolades, he is also a TV presenter and film producer.

The creative genius behind three Michelin-starred UK restaurant, The Fat Duck, self-taught chef Heston Blumenthal OBE is considered a multi-sensory culinary pioneer. Known for his love of liquid nitrogen and playfully scientific approach to food, he has created revolutionary dishes such as snail porridge, bacon-egg ice cream and seafood served with an iPod playing sounds of the sea. A prominent author, columnist and TV presenter, he also has a ready-to-eat meal range in partnership with UK supermarket chain, Waitrose.

Multi award-winning Indian actor and producer, Anil Kapoor, has a career spanning almost 40 years, and made his first on-screen appearance with a cameo role in Hamare Tumhare in 1979. His long an distinguished roster of acclaimed performances include Yash Chopra’s Mashaal (1984), Tezaab (1988), Virasat (1997) and Dil Dhadakne Do (2015). His role as a game show host in Danny Boyle’s Academy Award-winning film, Slumdog Millionaire, catapulted him into the international arena, since when he has appeared in several US productions including popular action series 24.

British singer and songwriter, Jay Sean, made his musical debut in the UK’s Asian Underground scene in 2003, as a member of the Rishi Rich Project. The group’s UK chart success with Dance with You led to a record deal with Virgin Records and two UK top 10 hits followed. A top-selling artist across Asia, Sean was also a pioneer of Bhangra-R&B fusion. Success under his own independent label, Jayded Records, and subsequent signing to Cash Money Records, saw him release a string of chart hits including Ride It (2008), Down and Do You Remember (2009), and the UK R&B Chart-topping album, My Own Way.

Indian actress, singer, film producer and former Miss World 2000 winner, Priyanka Chopra, made her Bollywood debut in 2003 in The Hero. A multi award-winning actor, she has appeared in numerous box office hits including Andaaz (2003), Fashion (2008) and Mary Kom (2014). A familiar face on US television screens, Chopra was the first South Asian to headline an American network series in her role as Alex Parrish on ABC’s Quantico. She is also recognised for her philanthropic work with UNICEF.

‘SRK’ or ‘King Khan’ as he is widely known, is one of Bollywood’s most prolific actors and producers, having appeared in more than 80 hit films. A 14-time Filmfare Awards winner, Khan originally began his career on the small screen before making his Bollywood debut in Deewana in 1992. A highly adaptable actor who has played villains, scientists, sports coaches as well as comedic and romantic leads, he rose to prominence for the latter with critically acclaimed roles in films such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Devdas (2002).
